At Amanda Owen Meehan Consulting we believe leadership should feel less lonely and more human. Too many managers are thrown into the role without support, expected to be “all things to all people.” The result? Burnout, frustration, and teams that never reach their potential.
We exist to change that.
Our work is built on one simple idea: when leaders are supported, whole organisations thrive. Because when leaders win — their teams win, their organisations win, and that’s the return on investment that really matters.
We don’t do jargon or tick-box training. We give leaders practical tools, confidence, and the space to grow — so they can do their jobs well and feel good doing them.
A note from Amanda
I know what it feels like to be chucked in at the deep end. I was once that leader promoted without training, expected to figure it out, and making plenty of mistakes along the way. The pressure was huge, and most days felt like firefighting.
What I realised is that those mistakes weren’t about me. They were about a lack of support. And that’s something organisations can fix.
My career has taken me through education, financial services, and the not-for-profit sector. In every one of those spaces, one truth stood out: leadership shapes everything. When leaders are confident, supported, and emotionally intelligent, whole teams flourish — and organisations see the impact in performance, retention, and results.
That’s why I started Amanda Owen Meehan Consulting to make leadership less about surviving the role and more about thriving in it.
